There is so much amazing talent in San Antonio! April Monterrosa, founder of Live From The Southside has been working tirelessly to highlight everything positive and vibrant on the Southside of San Antonio. An area that is often under funded, over looked, and misrepresented. When she asked me to be a judge for this idea about giving local talent a platform to show their talent, I said absolutely! I'm looking forward to having the winner on my radio show and podcast, and can't wait to see the finale coming up on the 26th.
We've already went through one round of auditions, but there's still time! If you want to participate and win $500 plus get the opportunity to perform at Fiesta events, and much more! Be sure to show up this Saturday or reach out to Live From The Southside for more info!
The family-friendly talent show is seeking musicians, singers, dancers, rappers, actors, comedians, magicians, etc. ages 5 & up to enter. Each contestant will have up to 4 minutes of stage time to showcase their talent.
Southside’s Got Talent Schedule
Auditions: March 19th - 5PM - 7PM
Grand Finale: March 26th 5PM - 7PM
Auditions for the Southside’s Got Talent will be held at Brooster’s Backyard Icehouse at 815 Pleasanton Road, San Antonio, Texas, 78214 and the Grand Finale event will be held at Colt’s Sport’s Park at 11056 Applewhite Road, San Antonio, Texas, 78224.
Local Celebrity judges:
Comedian Aj Rivas aka Yessica210, Tejano Artist Lydia Castillo Music, & 104.5 Latino Hits Host Tito En Vivo. Master of Ceremonies is Eric Lee of Boomer Humor Podcast.
All contestants will be judged on quality of performance, stage presence, and entertainment value. Attend the audition day of your choice, but you must attend one of these auditions to be considered for the Grand Finale. There are no other available dates/times for auditions.
There will be 3 special guest judges at all auditions and the grand finale. The winner will get a GRAND PRIZE of $500 including a trophy, an opening act opportunity, and feature story in Live from the Southside Magazine, a performance spot at "Taste Of The Southside", Sunday, March 27th (Time TBD), & a performance spot at Fiesta De Los Reyes, (Date/Time TBD. Festival runs April 1st - 10th, 2022).
