What made J Balvin cry on camera?

J Balvin Performs At Staples Center

We've all had our moments when our emotions get the best of us, right? A bad break up, missing someone, those dog rescue videos that pop up on your Facebook feed, losing a fiery match, but for J Balvin it was none of those things. In fact, it was something that can bring anyone to tears regardless of how cold your heart is. I'm talking about spicy pepper tears. You know the ones, right? The ones your abuelito would say your abuelita used when she was mad at him. So spicy that you literally feel your soul fighting its way up your throat trying to escape the inferno that you've created inside your body. Let's face it, our spicy threshold in our Latino culture is something that we typically wear with pride. It's almost like an unspoken game we play consuming or serving up spicy foods. If we're serving it up we might say that it's "not spicy" knowing damn well that it has a serious kick, and if we're consuming some chile we'll say "na it's not hot" and pay no attention to the flames shooting out of our ears.

The show, First We Feast presents Hot Ones has nearly 10 million followers on YouTube, and it's a brilliant and simple way to get to know the interview subjects. There's something about watching your favorite celebrity try to answer serious questions while eating spicy hot wings. They squirm, pant, they scream, they sweat, and in J Balvin's case even cry while trying to answer the host's questions. It's all very entertaining. Checkout the entire interview below.
