Tejano superstar Michael Salgado sent me this story of Kaison Garza from Snyder, TX. He said this hit home for him because Michael is also from Snyder. When I saw the news story Kaison stole my heart too. His smile and love for life is inspiring.
He was also featured on a couple of local news stations here in San Antonio, and we want to show Kaison that San Antonio loves him by sending him birthday cards and making his wish come true! For the price of a stamp you can bring a smile to little Kaison's face.
Kaison Garza has spinal bifida, and his doctors said he would never walk when he was born. He's a little fighter though and continues to prove his doctors wrong. It hasn't been easy, he just got out of a couple of surgeries, and the medical bills are piling up for the Garza family. When he was asked what he wanted for his 5th birthday, he said lots of birthday cards. So hundreds of birthday cards have poured in from all over the nation. Let's keep that smile on his face and send him hundreds more!
