The Rooftop Cinema Club is San Antonio’s newest entertainment hotspot right in the parking lot of Six Flags Fiesta Texas. The drive-in movie theater began back in June and added classic movies like Grease, Jurassic Park and one of Texans favorite movie, Selena. With the great success the drive-in is having, they have extended offering entertainment to San Antonio longer than what was originally planned.
Today Rooftop released their August movie lineup including classic movies like Mean Girls, Friday, The Princess Bride and many more. It also seems that Halloween might come in earlier at Rooftop Cinema. The movie lineup also included Halloween specials over the weekends called “Summerween”, the lineup includes movies with like Hocus Pocus, The Exorcist, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween and more. To make things more thrilling, they will offer Trunk-or-Treat car decoration contests each night with prizes for best costumes and car decorations.
Ticket prices for parking are either $24 or $32 per vehicle. Parking spaces are limited are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Rooftop is also giving back to the community with their “Community Screenings”. This go out to the people impacted by COVID-19 and also to those in support of Black Lives Matter. 100% of the proceeds from its first film every Tuesday will be donated directly to the San Antonio Food Bank and to the Black Lives Matter organization.
