Masks are mandatory with Delta Airlines.

Growing up we all heard our parents threaten us with, “if you don’t behave, I’ll turn this car around”. Well that happened but this time it wasn’t a car, it was a plane and they weren’t kids, they were adults. Last week, two Delta Airlines passengers refused to wear facemasks while onboard. The report provided by Delta, the Atlanta-bound flight turned around in mid-air after two passengers were not following instructions from the crew. After landing in Detroit, the flight took off again and arrived safely at its destination after the delay.

Basically every airline requires all passengers to wear facemasks while on board. Some airlines like Delta also require a virtual medical evaluation for any passenger claiming to have a health condition that prevents them from wearing a mask. This is not the first time that a passenger does not want to follow the instructions. American Airlines and Spirit Airlines also reported a similar situation, but the passengers were not allowed to board the plane.
