Attention medal collectors and Star Wars fans, you can now have the best of both worlds! Creative manager Justin Frey for Merit Coffee shared that he was inspired to create this local medal after seeing the viral meme of Baby Yoda drinking out of a teacup on social media.
“I replaced the teacup with a Merit Coffee mug and then added the festive sombrero to pay homage to San Antonio and Fiesta,” said Frey during an interview.
The medal will be available by March at Merit Coffee San Antonio shops for only $10, and on their website if you wish to add this medal to your collection. Comments on the shop’s Instagram seem to be very positive regarding the creativity behind the medal; San Antonio is definitely here for it!
