Cardi B is making a comeback and recruited some of the big hitters women in the industry. Today she released her new single ‘Wap’ with Megan Thee Stallion. ‘Press’ was the last time Cardi released new music, and that was more than a year ago. That time she used it to spend time and raise her daughter Kulture.
For this new song Cardi B teamed up with 2019 breakout rapper, Megan Thee Stallion. Megan is one of the only other female rappers to now have a number 1 song on the Billboards Hot 100. The song talks about how they want or should please their men. Cardi B explains that the song is so raunchy that even YouTube had to ask her team to use a censored version of the song for the video.
Colin Tilley was the director of the music video. The video has an all women empowerment statement and tells women to embrace it. For the video, Cardi B invited some of the biggest women names from the music industry like, Normani, Rosalia, Mulatto, and Sukihana. To top it off we also see in the music video a cameo by the self-made billionaire Kylie Jenner. In the video we see looking gorgeous in leopard print and walking down a hallway. Kylie is not rapping or singing in the video, but her appearance is a statement to show togetherness among women across the entertainment industry.
