Mr. Worldwide, Mr. 305, Pitbull has a released new album titled “Libertad 548” and it comes packing heat!
The album includes 13 tracks and has collaborations with artist like Wisin & Yandel, Daddy Yankee, Natti Natasha, Prince Royce, Ludacris, but one that stands out the most is the one with country singer and voice coach, Blake Shelton. “Libertad 548” is the newest album by Pitbull since “Climate Change” in 2017. The album has a great significance to Pitbull, it’s an homage to the 548 people his father helped escape from Cuba in Mariel Boatlift in 1980. The Mariel Boatlift was a mass emigration of Cuban citizens that traveled from Cuba's Mariel Harbor to the United States.
Back in 2005, Blake Shelton told Ryan Seacrest that he was really closed to doing a song with Pitbull, and well the day finally came where they joined on the new track “Get Ready”. The song includes a sample of the iconic track "Black Betty”, which has been covered by Ram Jam, Tom Jones an a numerous amount artist.
This is also not the first time Pitbull has worked with a country singer. Back in 2016, Pitbull joined Keith Urban on the song “Sun Don’t Let Me Down” and on the remix of “Drink to That All Night” with Jerrod Niemann on 2014.
Pitbull produced this new album with Grammy-winning producers IAmChino and Jorge Gomez with Jimmy Joker, and it has a mixture of pop, country and Latin influences.
